AI Providers — Power Trading Analysis with Your Own Model
Fincai's multi-agent analysis — the technical, sentiment, and fundamental agents plus the bull/bear debate — is provider-routable. By default it runs on the built-in model, but you can connect your own OpenAI or Google Gemini key and run the analysis on the model you choose.
Selection is per session and takes effect immediately. If a connected provider fails at call time, Fincai transparently falls back to the built-in model and labels the result so you always know which model produced the analysis. A built-in try-it panel lets you run a live analysis and see the consensus, each agent, and the debate.
Only the analysis is routable — the tool-calling trading chat intentionally stays on the built-in Claude model. Your preference is stored against a server-issued session id, and choosing the built-in model is represented by the absence of a stored row, so anonymous sessions work with no setup. Selecting a provider requires its key already connected, and disconnecting that key reverts the session to the built-in model. The fallback is latched: the first failure of a bring-your-own provider switches the whole run to the built-in model and reports that a fallback was used.
The try-it panel runs a live analysis request — CSRF-protected and rate-limited — and renders the consensus, the three agents, the bull/bear debate, and an 'Analyzed by' provenance line so the source model is always clear.
When you use Fincai's AI chat or analysis features, the content of your prompts — including any stock symbols, watchlists, or position details you reference or ask about — is sent to a third-party AI model provider to generate a response. By default this provider is Anthropic (Claude). If you connect your own OpenAI or Google Gemini API key, analysis requests are sent to that provider instead. Fincai does not control whether these providers retain or use that content to train their models; review each provider's terms. (The precise data categories per provider and their retention practices are under review and will be enumerated here.)
Fincai's analysis is generated by AI systems that can be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong, including in ways that read as confident and specific. Treat every output as a starting point for your own research, not a conclusion. Verify before you act.
