AI Strategy Builder — Automate Stock & Options Trades
The Fincai strategy builder lets you turn an idea into an automated trading strategy. Set the strategy type, risk profile, and the rules that govern it — entry trigger, stop-loss, profit-target, trailing-stop, and time-stop — then arm it for the autonomous strategy runner.
Armed strategies are managed by a server-side engine that watches live quotes and applies your rules automatically. Paper (simulated) trading is the default; live trading is an explicit per-strategy opt-in, is long-only in the current version, and enforces position and notional caps at entry.
You can start from a curated template — deep-linking from the strategy templates library prefills the builder with a template's type, risk profile, stop, target, time, and trailing rules, and symbol — or configure everything yourself. The runner panel on this page lets you arm a template with a symbol and share count, edit its rules, toggle paper versus live, stop individual runs, or hit a kill switch, and the active-runs list refreshes every few seconds.
Each armed run advances through a durable state machine — watching, entering, in-position, exiting, and closed — that resumes after a server restart, and every transition is guarded so a periodic tick and a manual stop cannot double-act on the same run. Live entries and exits are checked against a market-hours guard and re-validate position and notional caps against the live price; any run stuck mid-order or any failed live order is paused for manual review and never re-placed automatically.
Automated and agentic strategies can act faster than you can review them. Software fails, market data can be delayed or wrong, and connectivity can be interrupted. Risk controls reduce but do not eliminate the possibility of loss. You remain responsible for every position in your account.
You are solely responsible for the orders placed and the positions held in your account. Manual trades require your explicit confirmation before they are sent. If you arm a strategy in live mode, you authorize it to place and close orders automatically within the limits you set, without a separate confirmation for each order — you can pause or stop it at any time.
