Paper Trading AI Agent — Fincai
Yes — there is a paper trading AI agent. Fincai's autonomous strategy runner applies your entry, stop-loss, profit-target, trailing-stop, and time-stop rules to live market data with simulated fills, so you can test strategies with zero capital at risk.
Paper (simulated) trading is the default and works in demo mode with no account. Live trading is an explicit per-strategy opt-in that requires a connected brokerage and is long-only in the current version, with position caps and a market-hours guard.
The runner is a server-side background engine that watches live quotes on a single, non-overlapping interval and drives each run through a durable state machine — watching, entering, in-position, exiting, and closed — that resumes active runs when the server restarts. Entry and exit triggers are computed from quotes and labeled as such in the interface, and an atomic compare-and-set guards every transition so a periodic tick and a manual stop can never double-act on the same run.
You can arm any curated strategy template or your own idea, choose paper or live, edit the symbol, share count, and rules, stop individual runs, or hit a global kill switch; the active-runs list refreshes every few seconds. Any run found stuck mid-order on restart, or any failed live order, is paused for manual review and never re-placed automatically. Position and notional caps are re-checked against the live price at entry.
New accounts run in paper (simulated) mode by default. Live trading requires an explicit, separate opt-in.
Automated and agentic strategies can act faster than you can review them. Software fails, market data can be delayed or wrong, and connectivity can be interrupted. Risk controls reduce but do not eliminate the possibility of loss. You remain responsible for every position in your account.
You are solely responsible for the orders placed and the positions held in your account. Manual trades require your explicit confirmation before they are sent. If you arm a strategy in live mode, you authorize it to place and close orders automatically within the limits you set, without a separate confirmation for each order — you can pause or stop it at any time.
